This couple, they are pretty special to me. I met Janice last year when I second shot a wedding with her. She picked me up in this beautiful Suburban, my dream car, and said "Don't worry, I'm normal..." and I knew we were going to get along great. A few months later she reached out to me to photograph her own wedding, you can see that blog post here.
And now, with Baby Justice on the way, I was honored to be able to work with them again. Janice made the comment that I had been with them since the beginning... and I think my heart exploded. I love that so much. Being able to build relationships with people is a huge part of why I do what I do.
We met at Jacobson Park in Lexington, Kentucky on a Saturday evening. The sun was out and it was in the mid 50's... so the park was pretty crowded. The iconic trees were already crawling with photographers so we started in an open field that was less crowded. After soaking up some beautiful golden hour light before we headed into the tree line for some more cozy forrest vibes. Toward the end of the shoot, the temperature dropped and we were all getting pretty chilly; but before we ended Dylan wrapped Janice up in his jacket for a few shots. Super sweet.
Here are a few of my favorites from our session. Janice is beautiful to begin with; but that baby glow and that dress... stunning, absolutely stunning.
